Everything you need to get rid of ants from the Ant Killer experts.

Ants can definitely be a nuisance whether you are trying to enjoy an afternoon outdoors or spending time in the kitchen. There are many species of ants that live all over the world. They live in colonies that can number into the thousands and come in many colors and sizes. One thing is true about any ant, they are annoying.

If you are looking to put an end to Ants in or around your home, a good ant killer pesticide is what you will need. To control this pest indoors Drione dust works wonders, but it can smell very bad and wreak havoc on your lungs if inhaled. While it is usally a smarter idea to call in a professional exterminator to do the job of applying pesticides in the home, in these economic times it may be worth it to do-it-yourself. If you use Drione dust, you will want to wear a respirator to protect your lungs and spray the dust under your kitchen cabinets, in voids or cracks and crevices like around your baseboards. Adding a liquid pesticide permiter protection will help too. Permethrin based pesticides will do the job if applied correctly.

If you really want to know the best way to get rid of ants, there is a wonderful product caller Terro Ant Bait Gel. You can get this product from some general stores or online from a pest control sales agent. This is a liquid gel in a plastic container that is like crack to ants. They flock to it, ingest it and then take it back to the colony whiping them out. Some of the little guys will become gluttons and just hang out in the gel and die. This product works best on the little black piss ants and most other small household ants.

Outdoors, consider using an ant bait such as Intice. This product sort of reminds you of paremsan cheese that you shake out from the dispenser around the permiter of the outdoor area you wish to protect. Sprinkle it on a colony and soon you will see them hoisting the grains and taking them inside. Another wonder ant killer is Termidor. It was mainly developed for killing termites, but works great as a topical soil treatment around the house to kill ants too. Basically termites and ants have very similar biological systems. Termites live deeper in the ground so to treat for them you have to pump the chemical into the soil, and usually one treatment will last over 10 years. For ants however, they live much closer to the surface which makes a topical spray more effective. Because it is sprayed on the top of the surface it is more prone to runoff and soil erosion so it should be done at the beginning of the ant season and in many cases will control ants for the entire summer season.
